Prices
- All
prices and charges are stated and payable in U.S. dollars.
- Our
prices are always 10% less than the Publisher's List Price (PLP)
for every item we sell, based on the PLP when we took delivery
of our inventory.
Sales
taxes
- All
orders shipped to California addresses will be charged 8.25% sales
tax.
- Orders
shipped outside California are not charged sales tax.
Shipping
Within the U.S.
...
- Shipments
within the United States are sent via United Parcel Service (UPS).
For this reason, we always need a physical street address (no
P.O. Boxes) for shipping.
- Our
goal is to ship orders placed before 3 pm Pacific Time, Monday
through Friday, that same day.
- Shipping
charges to U.S. delivery addresses are easy to calculate: $8.95
for the first item in your order; $1.00 for each additional item.
- Outside the U.S.
...
- Shipments going to locations outside the U.S. will be shipped the best way possible; if you have a preference, please let us know by sending email to sales@buildersbook.com after placing your order. Refer to your order number, the date and time of your order in your request.
- Shipping for foreign orders will be charged at our actual cost.
- Our online system cannot provide this information, so if you are ordering online, our online system will calculate the total amount of items in your order, excluding shipping. After your order has been submitted, we will research the actual cost of shipping your order to you (including any customs or other charges that are necessary), and contact you via e-mail to let you know how much your total charge will be, and receive your authorization.
- We
don't have a hidden "handling" charge. We charge only those rates you see above.
Problems?
- Errors.
We do our best to make certain that every order is filled promptly
and accurately. If we make a mistake, and send you an item you
did not order, please call us during
our business hours within three days of receipt, to arrange for
an exchange.
- Missing
Items. If you have not received your order within the expected
time frame, or if items you have ordered are missing from your
shipment, please call us during our
business hours or send
us email. Include your order number or as much identifying
information as possible, to help us serve you faster.
- If
you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, we want to
make it right. Call us.
Returns/Exchanges
Books
- Books
may be returned (shipping prepaid) for full credit if you notify
us within 3 business days of purchase.
- An
in-store credit will be issued for book returns arranged for 3-5
days after purchase.
- No
book returns will be allowed 5 or more days after purchase, except
for defective merchandise.
Videos
and Software
If
packaging remains sealed...
- Software
and videos may be returned (shipping prepaid) for full credit
if you notify us within 3 business
days of purchase.
- An
in-store credit will be issued for software or video returns arranged
for 3-5 days after purchase.
- No
software or video returns will be allowed 5 or more days after
purchase, except for defective merchandise.
No
returns of software or videos if packaging is unsealed (no exceptions);
defective disks or videos will be replaced.
A
STORE RECEIPT OR OTHER PROOF OF PURCHASE IS ALWAYS REQUIRED!
