This book explains, in non-technical terms, how electricity is generated and delivered to customers. It assumes you have no engineering background, and maybe no experience in the industry. Because it delivers such an understandable overview, it's often used as the book for introductory courses for linemen. Administrative workers will also find it helpful to better understand industry terms.

The book includes descriptions and annotated photos of generators, transmission towers, transformers, regulators, fuses, meters - important components of a power distribution system. It avoids equations, except where helpful to illustrate basic electricity relationships.
