Application Guide to Flammable Finishes
This document has been compiled as a resource for the study of flammable finish applications. It is intended to be used as an application guide in association with Article 45 of the 1997 UFC. Included in this guide are pertinent references to the NFPA Standard 33, IFC Chapter 15, UBC, and UMC.
The guide contains changes to Article 45 found in the 1999 Accumulative Supplement and provides some insight to changes in the spray finishing provisions in the 2000 IFC.
Although focus is on spray finishing, this guide also provides some background on other finishes, including dip tanks, electrostatic apparatus, powder coating and dual component coating.
