This Safety Manual was prepared by The National Demolition Association with twofold purpose; first, to catalogue in one volume, safe ways to perform diverse tasks when demolishing structures and secondly, to establish industry safe work practices.
It is designed to provide information to protect demolition contractors, their workers, other contractors, and the public at demolition job sites.
The Safety Committee believes that for any health and safety manual to be effective, it must present the safety information clearly, concisely, and understandably. This manual was prepared with and reviewed by committees of National Demolition Association members with years of experience in the demolition industry. It is designed to be used at the job site as a reference for safe work practices.
