This checklist will provide an organized method for conducting the inspections. It was designed to be a “memory jogger” for the inspector and to remind him/her of the crucial items that should be checked. It can be modified to meet your particular needs. You should include items that have been a problem in the past, items that are critical to the finished product and items that are of particular interest to your customers.

The checklist has been divided into sections based on building systems (how a structure is actually built). In each section various methods are detailed even though they would not all be used on the same project. You should review the checklist and select those items that apply to your specific project.
